In very good condition. Decorated boards remain attractive. Book plate on front pastedown. Text-block edges gilt. Scuff along to text-block edge. Text-block and illustrations are bright and clean. Silk ribbon is clean. Binding is tight and intact. Please see photos.
Joseph Rudyard Kipling was an English journalist, novelist, poet and short-story writer. He was born in British India, which inspired much of his work. He is seen as an innovator in the art of the short story. His children's books are classics; one critic noted "a versatile and luminous narrative gift".
