Scrapbook with leather spine filled wtih handwritten poetry and literary gems that struck the owner's fancy. The endpapers and some pages are covered with pasted-in cuttings from newspapers. The handwritten entries are dated 1853 - 1856. The corners, edges and spine extremeties are heavily bumped and worn. Surfaces of the boards and spine are rubbed and peeling in places. The hinges are cracked. ; 24A; 7-1/2 x 6".
