circa 20,4 x 10,5 cm. 2 double-leaves folded (4 pages) one with text on three, the other with text on only the first page Two letters in French written probably to a catholic scholar, both concern the abbé Maynard, essays by a certain Dr. Church, Pascal, historic documents that Acton would like to study etc. - Dalberg-Acton (1834-1902) was married to Countess Marie Anna Ludomilla Euphrosina von Arco auf Valley and spent a lot of time in Tegernsee and Munich. - These autographs are from an important collection in Tegernsee. In the old portfolio with notes by the collector who bought them (together with a third that he sold to Oskar Rauthe) may 31st 1928 in Berlin from Salomon for 7 Marks (for all three, then corrected to 5 after the sale of the third letter).
