John Carter was an artist, printer and publisher, 1748-1817 who worked from Hamilton Street, Hyde Park London. This could be working copy of book of prints he planned to produce. The prelim blank has what appears to be a hand drawn shield with: Vol 4 of 20 views. Pubd and sold by J Carter No 2 Hamilton Street Hyde Park London. Followed by Indeex page 53 through to 64 followed by 3 plates of London and rest of Glastonbury, 20 in all, tissue fronts. Pages 31/2" x 5". 6 strings and marbled card.
