The concept for the Cosplay series began as a Monthly Art Challenge. In late 2015, I decided to test myself and draw a sketch a day throughout the month of October. “Inktober” is a common event for artists online, and typically is themed around Halloween in some form, so I decided to make mine a pinup challenge featuring my wife Whitney’s character.

Now an annual event, the Whitney Cosplay Series features her character dressed in the costumes of other characters throughout the realms of comics, video games, sci-fi, and animation. These sketches are done in a cheesecake pinup style and posted online as they are completed. At the end of the month, a system is set up where viewers can donate funds towards their favorite sketches to see them get upgraded to ink and color, unlock ten additional bonus sketches, and eventually fund the production of this printed collection.

All 10 bonus cosplays, as unlocked via funding
5 Additional cosplays featuring Peter as his counterpart character to match Whitney’s costume

The Annual Whitney Cosplay Series is a work of pinup and parody.

All character costumes included in this collection are owned and � to their respective companies and creators. The companies/creators are credited underneath each image.

The characters of Peter and Whitney are owned by Jonathan and Whitney Ponikvar. All artwork present in this collection � 2016-2017 by Jonathan Ponikvar.

Jonathan Ponikvar is an online cartoonist and the author/creator of two successful comics, "Peter & Company" and its sequel, "Peter & Whitney."
