MODERN BENGALI POETRY About the Author: Poet Debashis Tewari is a brilliant personality of Bengali poetry of this period. This is his tenth book of poetry. In this book of poems, as there is talk of Panthajan, there is also talk of upper and middle class community. He looks at society and civilization from different perspectives, not only in urban life, but also in his poems about rural confusion and helpless people. He looks at poetry from different perspectives. He is perfect at breaking the rhythm of regular poems. Adequate experimentation with style is also one of the features of his poems. Each of his books of poetry is a complete document. Sometimes personality and individuality are all in this book of his poetry. It is a brilliant addition to the present modern Bengali poetry.
