Main Character

Most people are living someone else’s life.

They follow paths they didn’t choose, work toward goals they never questioned, and measure success by standards that were handed to them. They are moving—but not necessarily in a direction that is theirs.

Main Character is not a traditional self-help book. It’s a shift in perspective.

This book challenges the script. It pushes you to question everything—your path, your work, your identity, your relationships, and the systems you’ve been taught to trust. It introduces a simple but powerful idea: you are supposed to be the main character in your own life—but no one is going to give you that role. You have to take it.

Inside, Rupert Groom explores:

• Why most people are building someone else’s dream
• The hidden cost of comfort, approval, and certainty
• How to build your own path instead of following one
• The truth about money, ownership, and real freedom
• The mindset required to think clearly, act decisively, and stay in control
• What it actually takes to create a life that is genuinely yours

This is not a book of step-by-step instructions or quick wins. It’s a philosophy—direct, honest, and sometimes uncomfortable. It’s for people who feel the gap between the life they’re living and the life they could be living—and are ready to do something about it.

If you’re tired of running someone else’s script and ready to start writing your own, this book is for you.
