365+1 (Paperback)

Paperback. 365+1 is a collection of poetry that contains 366 poems - a poem a day - for the year 2016. It is the chronicle of a year in a life; a leap year that was filled with grief, ecstasy, boredom, anger, politics, humor, depression and joy. Poet Rick Leddy's book pays homage to the every day. It is a 21st century Odyssey for ordinary people. Highly personal yet universal, 365+1 explores what it is like to be human in these confusing and compelling times. It is the story of all of our lives "Rick Leddy's poetry is both uniquely observational and deeply introspective. His free-verse lens reveals an emotional landscape of turmoil, irony and contradiction, as well as humor and reconciliation. He fluidly moves from pangs of grief and impatience to wistful yarns of beauty and untethered imagination. While there's a timeless quality to his work, it's also a perfect companion for these uncertain days. I feel better when I read his poems and it's likely others will too."
