Add to basketThis work gives the history of the Southern Pacific 4449 locomotive. It was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1941, and retired in the 1950s. It reposed in a transportation museum until 1974 when it was chosen by the American Freedom Train Foundation to participate in pulling a special train to commemorate the United States Bicentennial. Photographs and a chronology are includes; includes laid in text on the 4449, "The Louisiana World's Fair Daylight," 1984. This copy is clean and solid.
