She earned a degree in biology from Cornell, graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and has practiced medicine for twenty years. Inspired by the Forks Over Knives documentary, she followed a whole food, plant-based diet herself and was amazed by her health improvements.
