6th Australasian Computer Systems Architecture Conference Acsac 2001: Proceedings : 29-30 January 2001 Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia (Australian Computer Science Communications, Vol. 23, No. 4)

Contains the 17 papers presented at the January 2001 conference dealing with computer architecture and operating systems. Some of the topics are adaptive interfacing with reconfigurable computers, error detection for adaptive computing architectures in spacecraft applications, application domains for fixed-length block structured architectures, a simulator for high speed digital communications, and a comparison of virtual machines. Other topics include two cache lines prediction for a wide-issue micro-architecture, high-performance extendable instruction set computing, fault-tolerant routing on complete Josephus cubes, the evolution of password capability systems, and exploiting Java instruction/thread level parallelism with horizontal multithreading.
