His ministry radiates from Jackson, Mississippi, where he pastors the historic Mt. Helm Baptist Church, and expands to reach people and places around the nation and world. A scholar and mentor, CJ also serves as Director of Student Religious Life at Alcorn State University. He has degrees from the University of Mississippi, Duke University Divinity School, and Wesley Biblical Seminary. He and his wife, Allison, have twin sons.
