90,000 Hours

90,000 hours is the estimated time most of us will spend at work in a lifetime. This is fine if you are in a job you enjoy; but what about those doing mundane or demanding work, or people involved in unpaid work, and wondering why God has called them to such activity? This book takes a fresh look at the world of work. While examining themes of creativity, rest, harmony and perseverance from a biblical perspective, it also looks at dealing with stress, anger, productivity and suffering, and argues that God wants us to see our work as worthwhile in itself. A good combination of biblical exposition with practical suggestions based on personal experience. As well as appealing to Christians burdened with work, it's a great book for church leaders and managers who may find the contents especially relevant.
