126 pages of excellent text, with many great illustrations. A wonderful children's book. This time the Brown family go off to France, taking Paddington with them, of course - with her delightful drawings the author captures the atmosphere perfectly. This copy was published in 1974.

The Browns are going on holiday to France, and Paddington is in charge of the "eyetinnery." He has the whole trip planned down to the last marmalade sandwich, but somehow he takes the family far off the beaten path. With Paddington in charge, one should always plan on the unexpected.
About the Author
Michael Bond was born in Newbury, Berkshire on 13 January 1926 and attended Presentation College, Reading. He served in the Royal Air Force and the British Army before working as a cameraman for BBC TV for 19 years. In 1997 he was awarded the OBE for his services to children's literature.
