"FYNN, NOAH ( "Missouri") (ca 1850-19??). American outlaw. Born Kansas City. After being driven from home by cruel stepfather, wandered through Western territory and worked as cow-hand, lumberjack and jack-of-all-trades in Quarles's Hotel in Helena. Became involved with the notorious Sheriff Plumer, and in shooting incident at Riverside Drive, Chicago. Found guilty of murder at trial of doubtful legal validity and condemned to death (see The Bloody at Riverside Drive by William Rayner). Escaped from prison 1876."
