By journalist and crime writer Paul Winterton (1908-2001). Paul Winterton, who used the pseudonyms Andrew Garve, Roger Bax and Paul Somers, was a Labour Party candidate and a reporter for 'The Economist' for four years, and later for 'The News Chronicle'. He was sent to Moscow from 1942 to 1945, where he was also the correspondent of the BBC's Overseas Service. After the war, Winterton turned to writing crime and mystery fiction full time. He was a founder member of the Crime Writers' Association in 1953 and with Elizabeth Ferrars, its first joint secretary. Sadly, he is now largely forgotten. Seller Inventory # 008185
