This cross-curricular reference book provides starting points for work in National Curriculum history, science, English, technnology and mathematics. Many of the pictures can be used with the "STEPS" maths scheme. There is a strong emphasis on history and geography for Key Stage 1. The "Big Book" come packed flat and is simple to assemble. It can be used either as a turnover book on its own stand, on the wall or it can display two pictures simultaneously for comparison. The pictures are not bound together, so several classes can use different pictures at the same time. These teacher's notes accompany a reduced-size copy of each picture, and helps the teacher to get the most from having the "Big Book" in the classroom.
