Fighting Words was inspired by Dave Eggers’ 826 Valencia project in the USA, as have been creative writing centres all over the world since then, including Milan, Stockholm, London, Barcelona and Sydney. All of these creative writing centres are informally linked together – they communicate regularly, sharing ideas and experience.

About the Author
SARAH WEBBis a best-selling adult and children's author and a vital force in children's books in Ireland and UK. She now combines writing with schools visits, reading and giving workshops at festivals and reviewing children's books for theIrish Independent. She also programmes literary events and is on the board of Children's Books Ireland.
