Reed Karen is a teacher of woodworking at Parsons School of Design in New York City. He studied under Tage Frid, an author and woodworker who is famous in woodworking circles, and went on to start his own business. Some of Reed's clients include Polo/Ralph Lauren, Barney's New York, Rush Limbaugh, and Bret Easton Ellis. His work has been published in Harper's Bazaar, Architectural Record, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, and Architectural Digest. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
