About the Author:

ALISTAIR SHEARER has postgraduate degrees in literature, Sanskrit, and Indian studies. He has lectured for many prestigious institutions, including London University, the British Museum, and the Royal Academy of Arts. A teacher of meditation, Shearer leads cultural tours to the Indian subcontinent (www.trishulatravel.com) and has published ten books. He lives in England.
