Keith Miles, who lives in England, is the author of more than thirty mysteries, one of which, written as Edward Marston, was nominated for a prestigious Edgar Award by the Mystery Writers of America. Though he hates cops on principle, Saxon becomes determined to discover who murdered his pal Zuke. Suspects abound, and his investigation leads him back to Zuke's first wife, a clash with Zuke's movie-star second spouse, and various rich, powerful and talented people in the L. A. golfing world. Then someone tries to kill Saxon, and the cops begin to wonder if he, not Everett, was the intended victim.
