From AudioFile

This is the first book of personal essays by novelist Anne Rivers Siddons. These eleven essays give a glimpse into the author's life in Atlanta. Ivey ably captures the soft accent and measured cadence of a Southern lady. Her voice is very soothing, and she reads gracefully at a gentle pace. Ivey's competent delivery is not enough to thoroughly engage the listener, however. The problem lies in the material. Although the essays are somewhat interesting, their topics, such as a trip to New York City and finding a stray cat, are rather mundane. These may be more enjoyable read rather than heard. A.A.B.
