You'd think living in a town called Harmony might be a peaceful experience. For Lucas Cantrell, however, on the verge of graduating from high school, it's anything but peaceful. According to everyone else, Lucas has his life laid out--a career in his father's business after college, a sports scholarship if he wants it, and a cheerleader girlfriend who's looking forward to marrying him someday. Ack! Luckily, the mysterious Allie--a former '60s radical with a secret past--befriends him, and together they begin to sort out his future, and her past. Barbara Shoup offers up a rare, complex portrait of a young man who feels things very deeply.
