Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good-. No Jacket. Various Artists (illustrator). Illustrated throughout with B&W drawings and photographs. Pages[608] mostly clean, unmarked [a few pages of first 92 with a few marks, two pages with marginalia], binding tight and square. Blue and black geometric patterned boards, white and gray lettering, clean, shelf-wear to extremities, a little discoloration at back. Students are introduced to some of the many interesting mathematical concepts that are used in our contemporary world. The authors have tried to bring out the mathematical ideas and techniques as simply and clearly as possible and have related these ideas to other areas - such as sociology, psychology, and business.
