One of the most common reference questions asked must be, "Do you have an address for. . . ?" However, addresses aren't always as quickly found as we would like. This compendium of more than 3,000 addresses will help.
Included here are musicians from all fields, management, production, fan clubs, record labels, music societies, and music festivals. Entries range from Garth Brooks to the Bohemia Ragtime Society to Robert Merrill to Erector Set Studios. Entries give an address and an identification as singer, composer, artist management, etc. CEOs are given for corporate entries. Personal entries are last name first, but fan clubs are under their proper names. Individuals may be under both personal name and group. Unlike Burford's Celebrity Access, the date the address was verified is not included. A list of major record labels' addresses, a glossary of music-business terms, and a birthday list append the body of the directory.
The overlap with Levine's other work, The Address Book, is not great, and this new one complements other directories. The Music Address Book is inexpensive and will answer a number of questions in public libraries.
