This sequel to Neusner's The Oral Torah ( LJ 2/15/86) is an anthology of selections from the vast rabbinic literature described in the earlier work. Included are excerpts from the Mishnah, the two Gemaras, the Tosefta, and the Midrashim. Neusner's editing, introductions, and notes are excellent.
