Synopsis

In the style of his immensely popular book The Mustard Seed, enlightened master Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh again brings a completely fresh perspective to the person, life, and teaching of Jesus. His comments on passages from the Gospels of John, Matthew, and Luke pierce the domesticating layers of Christian tradition to encounter directly the original and revolutionary Jesus in the language of today. Words Like Fire recounts the import of Jesus - a milestone of human consciousness. With remarkable insight. this book also captures the sense of wonder incarnated in Christ, who is a breeze from the unknown, the entry of the mysterious into the known. Rajneesh discusses the meaning of parables, the real nature of God, law and love, the nearness of the kingdom, the ways of bold discipleship - all in his inimitable style, full of telling aphorisms, bold contentions, and witty anecdotes. Words Like fire renews the living ideal Jesus presents and the timeless message he embodies.: it is an invitation for anyone willing to put aside narrow conventions and conceptions to discover that Jesus is the wine - the romance, the poetry, the dance, the celebration, the joy, the ecstasy.
