Mittens the kitten wants to play with his friend Max the dog. But where is Max? Mittens looks for all of the places where he can usually find Max, including the doghouse and near his food bowl.
But Max is nowhere to be found, until Mittens discovers that Max has been looking for Mittens, too!

About the Authors
Lola M. Schaefer is an educator, writer, and gardener, and the author of many acclaimed books for children about math, art, science, technology, animals, and nature. She uses shovels, hoes, rakes, and scissors when she works in her garden. Lola M. Schaefer grew up in Indiana, and now lives in northern Georgia.
In addition to illustrating the books about Mittens, Susan Kathleen Hartung has provided the art for numerous picture books, including One Leaf Rides the Wind by Celeste Davidson Mannis. She lives in Brooklyn, Michigan.
