About the Author
Tim Powers is the author of numerous novels including Hide Me Among the Graves, Three Days to Never, Declare, Last Call, and On Stranger Tides, which inspired the feature film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. He has won the Philip K. Dick Memorial Award twice, and the World Fantasy Award three times. He lives in San Bernardino, California.

While on a quest for the "Fountain Of Youth" he encounters voodoo, zombies and the supernatural. This novel is the basis for the "Monkey Island" video game and the 4th film in the "Pirates Of The Caribbean", filmed in 2011 starring Johnny Depp. This novel was a finalist for the 1988 World Fantasy Award and finalist for the 1988 Locus Award for Best Fantasy novel.
