Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st thus. 320 pages, hardcover. Dust jacket is in very good condition despite a fold on the front flap. Yellow cloth covers are clean and bright, as are interior pages. Top edge colored yellow. Binding is solid. Contains B&W photography throughout. Stokes has acquired an almost mythical reputation as one of the finest and most discriminating writers on art. This book deals only with Stokes' critical writing, and with what is necessary to understand it.
