Part V consists of five independent chapters on mechanics, material balance, electrical theory, energy, and engineering economy. Part VI details a ten-step design process. Contains chapter key terms and concepts, worked examples, and problems varying in difficulty, with selected answers, plus two-color diagrams and b&w photos. Mathematical appendices offer background in algebra, trigonometry, graphics, and geometric formulations. Some familiarity with pre-calculus is assumed.
