Synopsis
A much needed book that explains arithmetic/elementary algebra for math-anxious students in developmental courses in community colleges and in preparatory or continuing education courses in colleges and universities. Can also be used for in-house courses given by corporations and labor unions, and for self-study. The authors have adopted a sound pedagogical approach and just the right tone-sympathetic but not pandering-for the level and needs of these students.
