About the Author
"Mr. Shio Kumar Singh holds and engineering degree in electrical and Electronics branches and also and M.Sc. in Power Electronics from the then Regional Institute of Technology (RIT) and now National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, he has over 28 years of teaching and industrial experience in design, development and implementation of Process control Automation, IT and Telecom solutions, Process Improvement Initiatives (Six-sigma, TPM, TOC) and Training and Development. As an active member of the Institution of Engineers (India), he worked as its chairman of the Jamshedpur local centre. He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and a Chartered Engineer. He has been conferred with an Eminent Engineer’s and Distinguished Engineer’s Awards by the Institution of engineers for his contribution in the field of Engineering. Presently, Mr. S.K. Singh is Head of Maintenance Services Group (Electrical and Telecommunication) at Tata Steel Limited, Jamshedpur. Mr. Singh has published a number of papers in both national and international journals. He has written several successful engineering textbooks for undergraduate and postgraduate students such as Industrial Instrumentation and Control and Measurements and controls, published by Tata McGraw-Hill.
