About the Author

Margaret Francis-Dombeck has dedicated her working life to teaching and related activities. A graduate of the University of South Australia, she taught in Australian high schools for six years before arriving in Canada in the early 70s. Margaret has been a professor at Centennial College in Toronto since 1974. Throughout her teaching career she’s taken leave to gain further business experience and enhance her teaching abilities, working at firms in Australia, England, and Canada. Margaret’s also been very involved in educational writing and her accomplishments include co-authoring curriculum materials in Kuwait and developing graduation standards for several Ontario community college programs. At Centennial College she has authored a number of texts in subjects such as customer service and call centre communications.
