THE INSIDE STORY OF THE DESERT STORM AERIAL WARFARE, TOLD BY ONE OF ITS HEROES
During Operation Desert Storm, the author piloted his F-16 in 30 combat missions, from the bombing of Iraq's nuclear research facility to attacks on the notorious "Highway of Death." In Vipers in the Storm, he recounts these experiences in searing "you-are-there" detail, giving readers one of the most riveting depictions ever written of man and machine at war.
Vipers in the Storm accurately reflects the decisive role that the United States Air Force played in defeating Saddam Hussein's military and liberating Kuwait. It is a superb account of modern air warfare. Most of all, it is a reminder of how enormously fortunate we are that there are young Americans like Keith Rosenkranz able and willing to defend the nation.
-- from the Foreword by Vice President Dick Cheney
Captain Keith Rosenkranz was a top-rated flight instructor and, subsequently, Top Gun in F-16 fighter training. He served in South Korea and then flew 30 combat missions--the bulk of them at night--during the Gulf War. Rosenkranz scored ten maverick missle kills on the infamous "Highway of Death." He was awarded four Air Medals and two Aerial Achievement Medals. He is currently a pilot for a major airline and lives with his family in Texas. His e-mail address is ROSEYF16@GMAIL.COM.
