He has been serving as a member and Chairman of various authorities of many Universities and Institutions in India. His degrees include Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Mysore, Master of Technology (Machine Design) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (India) and Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He was a recipient of Ford Foundation Senior Research Fellow at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. He served as Lecturer, Reader (Assistant Professor), and Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University College of Engineering. He has to his credit several papers published in various international technical journals. He is a member of SEM (USA), ASME, and ISTE (India). Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and P.E. He is a member on the Executive Committee of the IFTOMM Gear Committee. He is a consultant to various industries and has delivered seminars and lectures at NASA, University of Toronto, Canada, National University of Singapore, and numerous universities and engineering colleges in India and abroad. He was a Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1996, Chikmagalure, Karnataka State, India. .
