About the Author

James Humes was a White House speechwriter for Presidents Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and George H. W. Bush. He assisted former President Ford in writing his memoirs, A Time to Heal, and is the author of more than thirty books, including his autobiography, Confessions of a White House Ghost Writer. Currently Ryals Professor of Leadership and Language at the University of Southern Colorado, he has appeared on "Today," "Good Morning America," CNN, "Larry King Live," and hundreds of radio shows. Mr. Humes makes his home in Pueblo, Colorado.
