Formerly a consultant at Chase Manhattan Bank, he worked for seven years at IBM developing network-based software. He has over twenty years experience as a programmer, analyst, project leader and systems architect. A native of Corvallis, Oregon, he now lives and works in Raleigh, North Carolina.
