About the Author

Sumitabha Das has a degree in electrical engineering from Calcutta University (1977). He left the program halfway through working on his Master's degree to become Deputy Director of the Indian Ministry of Defense Following this, Sumitabha started his own company. Having initially offered consulting services in UNIX system administration and Oracle DBA, he now focuses on providing Linux-based Internetworking solutions. In 1993 his book on UNIX hit the Indian market. Today, it is in its second edition and remains the undisputed market leader.
