Synopsis
A consistent theme throughout the 11th edition of Organizations is that effective management of organizational behavior requires an understanding of theory, research and practice. Given this theme, Gibson, Ivancevich, Donnelly, and Konopaske, present and interpret organizational behavior theory and research so that students can comprehend the three characteristics common to all organizations-behavior, structure, and processes-as affected by actions of managers. James L. Gibson is Department chair of Univ. of Kentucky’s Department of Management. Research areas include organizational behavior and development.
John M. "Jack" Ivancevich is Dean at the University of Houston’s College of Business and Administration. He is known worldwide for his research in stress management.
James H. Donnelly, Jr. Is the Turner Professor in the College of Business and Economics, Univ. of Kentucky. Research areas include marketing and banking.
