Scriptures of The West contains sacred writings of Zoroastrianism,Judaism,Christianity,Islam,and the Bahai faith. Sections and subsections contain brief editor's introductions which discuss the nature and scope of scripture within each religion,and the history of the scripture presented (for example,Scriptures of the West uses the Jewish Publication Society's translation of the Tanakh rather than translations of the Old Testament associated with Christianity).
