Bruce Partridge has been vice president of one of Canada's largest publicly traded resource companies, as well as, at the other extreme, vice president of a private business that, at its largest, had only 22 employees. He has taught at the college, upper-division undergraduate, and graduate levels. For several years, he served as a vice president or president of three different universities. He has lived in three different countries and performed professional managerial duties in several other countries and cultures on four continents. He has been president of two international professional associations that were primarily concerned with the management of not-for-profit institutions. His academic preparation was first as a physicist and then as a lawyer, and he has been a manager in both a research laboratory and in a large international law firm. With this varied experience, he is able to view management from many different perspectives and brings to Management in Canada: The Competitive Challenges a unique blend of managerial insights and an understanding of how they can be conveyed effectively to students.
John M. "Jack" Ivancevich is Dean at the University of Houston’s College of Business and Administration. He is known worldwide for his research in stress management.
