This book is intended for a semester course in farm policy for upper-division undergraduates and beginning graduate students. It is intended for students who have studied micoeconomic theory at least at the intermediate level. The book is based on lecture notes used in teaching farm policy at the undergraduate and graduate levels over the past 20 years. In the development of these notes, the author strove to show from the beginning, how economic theory can be used to analyze the market and welfare effects of farm programs.
