Synopsis
This casebook teaches data modeling concepts and skills using the semantic object model, a new method for developing databases and database applications. The semantic object approach, using Salsa software, allows students to model data at a richer level, learn more intuitive techniques than in currently available software tools, and cover more advanced database concepts. The casebook includes Salsa software and a brief, easy-to-use tutorial. The tutorial is also available separately.
