Synopsis
This volume considers published solubility data for propane, butane and 2-methylpropane in a variety of solvent systems under various experimental conditions. The literature has been covered to the end of 1983. For each published paper, a compilation sheet gives the experimental solubility, the method of its determination, the purity of the materials and the experimental error where possible; the data are critically assessed by experts and classified accordingly. These three gases have unusual solubility characteristics and solubility data are often scarce or lacking. The volume therefore highlights those areas where further work is needed.
