This Proceedings contains the papers presented at the IFAC Conference on Control Applications in Marine Systems (CAMS 2001), held on 18-20 of July 2001 at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. More than 120 delegates from over 20 countries attended the Conference and discussed and exchanged their research results in marine control systems design and applications. CAMS 2001 attracted the highest number of papers and delegates of any conference in this series. This increase reflects the growing importance of control design and applications in marine systems.
