Some writers of boys' books are, however, included where it is felt that they should be inserted for general interest. It contains the names of well over two thousand authors and editors, together with biographical details of many of them, including the pen-names they used and the papers and publishers to which they contributed. One can tell at a glance what one's favourite author wrote, and where. Whilst this biography does not claim to list every single boys' author who ever wrote, it does claim to list every single Amalgamated Press writer, plus many hundreds of principal writers for other papers and publishers.
