Published annually, it describes the organization of the service and the careers of its members.Part I covers Home Departments, Part II British Mission overseas, and Part III consists of chronological lists of Secretaries of State, Ministers of State, Permanent Under-Secretaries and Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Permanent Reprentatives to international organizations and Governors and Commanders-in-Chief of Overseas Territories. The final part is an alphabetical listing with bibliographical notes of staff of the Senior Grade and Grades 4-10 in the Diplomatic Service, officers of Grade S1-S3 of the Secretarial Branch, officers of the Executive Assistant Branch and officers of the Security Officer Branch.
