"Longitudinal research is expensive, time consuming, fraught with pitfalls, and plain hard work. However, the amount of rich information that results justifies the effort. Developmental Follow-Up is a fine volume. I recommend it to developmental researchers who are in the midst of longitudinal studies, to others who are thinking about initiating longitudinal research, and to still others who only engage in cross-sectional research. Overall, the material in this book is sound enough to convince even die-hard skeptics... The volume is nicely balanced in terms of content... This book will be a worthy addition to the libraries of developmentally oriented clinicians, researchers, and graduate students. The content is informative and clear."
