Synopsis

This book traces the development of an actual tool, known as watcher, to illustrate how the principles of tool development are applied in real-world situations. Special attention is given to "modular" strategy to reduce coding and debugging time. Finally, the book presents information on implementing and maintaining newly-developed tools.

From the (c) page, it is not clear to me how this copy is to be classified, edition-wise; there are editions of this book published by Academic Press in San Diego (c) 1991, and the Academic Press U.K. Edition in London (no date given). Below, in Cataloging-in-Publication data paragraph, 1990 is given as the book's date.
